Doctor of Philosophy in English as an International Language

Program Overview

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in English as an International Language offers two entry paths:

• Plan 2.1: Master's Degree Entry

For applicants who already hold a Master's degree

• Plan 2.2: Bachelor's Degree Entry

For exceptionally qualified applicants with a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

Required Documents

1. Completed application form with 2 attached photographs
2. Photocopy of previous degrees, certificates, or diplomas
3. Official transcripts from all universities attended
4. Photocopy of ID card or passport
5. Valid English proficiency test results (TOEFL, IELTS, or CU-TEP)
   • Test results must be issued within 2 years of the admission date

6. Three recommendation letters from individuals (not relatives) who can assess your academic/professional abilities
7. Biographical essay (approximately 1,500 words)
8. Research proposal related to English as an International Language (approximately 3,000 words)
9. Proof of application fee payment (bank transfer slip)
