Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programs
The English as an International Language (EIL) program offers both MA and PhD degrees, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of English as a global lingua franca. Rooted in the Curriculum 2566 B.E. (for students beginning in the academic year 2024 onward), our program begins with core courses in the history, theories, and applications of EIL, covering linguistic foundations, language instruction, and assessment methodologies.
After mastering these fundamentals, students specialize in one of three advanced tracks:
Examining the structure, variation, and cultural significance of English worldwide.
Designing research-driven teaching approaches for diverse educational contexts.
Developing cutting-edge tools to measure language proficiency across cultures.
Through rigorous research, critical analysis, and practical application, our graduates are prepared to lead in academia, education, and language policy, addressing the dynamic challenges of English in international communication.
